Rodzice przed 30. Parenting before the age of 30.

There were two things as an inspiration to write this post. First, the post on one of my favorite blogs - lovetaza.com - about the dark side of having two adorable babies. And secondly, likes, positive comments and messages like" these children fit you very well" under the photo on Facebook, thrown by my younger sister and representing me and my three nephews (image below). So - is it worth to have children before 30.?

Ciągle należę do pokolenia/grupy pt. "Everybody's getting married or pregnant, I'm just getting drunk" :)

Before I'll write about the pros and cons of having a child at a young age;), I want to dispel any speculations - no, this post is not about me, I don't have such problems now. I still belong to the tribe/group called: "Everybody's getting married or pregnant, I'm just getting drunk" :)

I have always loved children, children like me, many times I happened to be "interrupted" by someone else's baby, which itself pulled its little hands to me. Generally, I deal with children, even those very little. Besides, for 7 years I have been a godmother for a girl and a boy. But is it enough? Does the fact that I have a maternal instinct, I do not shudder at the thought of a child and have always seen myself as a mother is important enough to (hypothetically) have a baby before 30.? After all, once you decide and your child is in the world, there is no turning back.

Wpadka to w pierwszej chwili stres, często łzy.

I am abstracting from the situation in which young people are somehow "forced" and parenting falls on them unexpectedly. Knocked Up is in the first moment stressful, often with tears. But if we are not talking about some pathologies where "children have their own children" or parents simply not wanting to have baby at all, most of these "pregnancies in an emergency" end up, however, positive. The child is accepted, loved, because in the end "we' have eventually decided to have a baby", the wedding is more or less rapid. Sometimes this happy ending concerns only the child because its parents do not always know how to communicate, some just don't cope with this situation...

While writing this post, I think first of all about the couples who got married, are happy and still postpone the time in which to decide to have a child. Because they can't afford having a baby, they have no place in their home and don't have any savings. I wonder how our parents who, after the age of 30-some, were seasoned in parenthood and sometimes had a 10-year-old son or daughter, thought about such things as child support, a small room for a child, money for his/her education? Isn't it the case today that we so much look for more reasons and problems and in fact we are afraid to admit that being a 2-person family is just convenient?

Mam w swojej rodzinie i wśród znajomych kilkoro młodych rodziców. Część z nich chciała dziecka, a część otrzymała je dość niespodziewanie... Dziecko to mały człowiek. A wychowanie go to całe lata poświęcenia się i potrzeba konsekwencji.

I have in my family and among friends some young parents. Some of them wanted the child from the beginning and other have received the baby quite unexpectedly ... And even though they both agree that the expansion of the family is very lucky and brings a lot of happiness, they do not beat around the bush and admit that it is also a hard work, sleepless nights, a lot of sacrifices. I do not believe mothers who speak only about "little clothes, little shit, teddy bears and little navels". A child is a little man. And bringing it are the years of sacrifice and the need of consistency. Wouldn't the age of 35 be at these things more ready than the age of 25? Probably. Or rather - for sure. Certainly, we will no longer have the constant desire for partying, irregular lifestyle and eating what would fall into our hands. Because a child changes everything. The question that comes to my mind is only one thing - are you sure it won't be too late when you finally take this decision? It would seem that the issue is not a problem and, in fact, it's huge. Stress, external factors, diseases, genetics - they cause that more younger people have a problem with pregnancy and fertility clinics are multiplying like mushrooms after rain.

Since in general no one tells us to have children at all (except our grandmother and aunt), indefinitely postponing pregnancy is only a cover for the fact that some do not want to have children at all. Others, like Samantha from "Sex and the City", just don't need a baby and talk about it openly, exposing themselves to social "lynching" and misunderstanding. We shouldn't assess or criticize it. Let other live their life.

Although writing this post, I purely put hypothesis, I have to admit that being in the shoes of people who have their life arranged - more or less - in a professional, but mostly private way, I would no longer think whether to have children now or in 10 years. Or maybe never. The thing that convinces me in whether is it worth having a daughter or son or not, is a guarantee that, thanks to having them, we would never be alone in this world. Because relationships are or they're not, marriage - as a rule, lasting until death - does not give us confidence that it will last "forever". On the other hand - I still want to feel freedom, independence, from time to time have some fun ... But how long can you only have fun? And is the party all what this life is all about? I don't know.
