Czego pragną kobiety? What Women Want?

Niestety. To krótki elaborat z perspektywy kobiety. Wcale nie wybitnie nowoczesnej i wyzwolonej. Niezależnej, ale bez przesady. Nie księżniczki. To taka historia ulepiona z doświadczeń moich koleżanek, kuzynki, zasłyszanych w kolejce po kawę. I moich własnych.

Podskórnie wyczuwasz, że chyba ktoś go kiedyś zranił.

I myślał o Tobie cały dzień. Aż siadasz z wrażenia.

Czego pragną kobiety? Mężczyzny.

The name of this post may be misleading. Cause you won't read here about what to do to go out with HER. Sorry. This is a short dissertation from the perspective of women. Women that are not very modern and liberated. Independent ones, but without exaggeration. Not the princess like. It's a story molded from the experiences of my friends, cousins, overheard in line for coffee. And my own.

So here's the thing - you meet a great guy. He accosted you in the cafeteria when you were reading a newspaper quietly. You like his style, voice, hairstyle, the way he looks at you. He rides up to you, it's cool, at ease. You're in high spirits, laughing, in the end it's not the first time when you talk to a guy. But, but! ... You guess you told one joke too many - apparently, because you see that he feels offended. But after a moment of thinking, he also states that it was funny actually...

You two have exchanged numbers, he wrote a looong sms. You write off. The next day, you are waiting for a response from his side. But this does not occur. After 2 days you think you're grown up and don't stand it. You write to him. He replies, though not right away, that it's great to hear from you. Cause he was afraid that the last time you might not have liked it that much, and "it may have been a single meeting". He proposes coffee. Again, it's really nice, but you are afraid to already be completely natural, not to make him offended when you say that you like the way he brushes his hair - just like Johnny Bravo. You're not quite sure what he thinks about you. He looks at you like a hungry wolf on a fat lamb, but ... that's it. Subcutaneously you sense that maybe someone has once hurt him. Maybe that's why he is a little withdrawn and is "exploring the area".

For four days - silence. And you think to yourself that you're not pretty enough / nice / interesting / slim (delete as appropriate), cause he'd call you if you were. On the fifth day, you fall for him around the same cafe where you saw each other for the first time. He greets you,but with a little sorrow in his eyes. He's a bit chilly, but asks you what's up. You answer the question with a question that he must be busy, because he dosen't contact you. He is surprised, he wants to meet, you can clearly see interest in your person.

You text with each other again, though with every message you sent you feel a bit ... intrusive. You never had to have anything initiated, it is not a natural situation for you. You are not desperate, so you give up on him. Life goes on. After a week, when you actually stopped thinking bout him, you get a message that he really reminds your last meeting with a smile. And he intentionally watched "Johnny Bravo" on Cartoon Network. And was thinking about you all day. You sit down. Impressed.

What Women Want? A Man.
