Find yourself a marry little Christmas

Szukam ich wszędzie. Próbuję znaleźć w sobie i w innych. Stojąc w kolejce w sklepie. Na straganie pod Halą Mirowską. W domu, w pracy. Nawet na zdjęciach. Na ulicy. Nic.

I am looking for it everywhere. I try to find it in myself and in others. Standing in line at the store. At the market nearby Hala Mirowska. At home, at work. Even in the pictures. On the street. Nothing. Grandma says that real cleanups, like - real ones, will help. On Saturday, a week ago I was cleaning the kitchen for 3 hours. I took everything out of the cabinets, drawers, nooks and crannies. Except of some jam of the unknown kind from 2010, nothing surprised me.

Where is Christmas? Although the lights are blinking on the streets, I go to stores looking for presents, at work we have completed the Szlachetna paczka, I still do not feel it. Maybe because there is no snow? And sometimes I wonder if it's gonna be like that forever? Is it only a privilege of children (and my grandmother)? I've been trying to put myself in this special state for several years. I watch the right movies, I listen to Christmas music. Doesn't help. And I'm not alone here.

What do we miss so much? Christmas is every year after all.

Maybe we wish it was a bit quieter, without a crowd in stores. We wish to count down the days on the calendar. To have a slightly smaller choice. And wet snow boots. We wish the house really smelled of a Christmas tree, because what a Christmas it is without a tree. We wish we really wanted to take care and pay attention. And dream about something to be among gifts. And hide it then under the pillow. And we wish we looked out for that first star.Although it shines every year.
